The terms that apply when you order honey from us.

These terms cover orders placed with The Dripping Hive through this website, by WhatsApp, by phone or by email. Please read them before you order. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

How an order is made

This website does not take payment. Choosing a jar and size sends your selection to us as a message; that message is an enquiry, not a purchase. A contract is formed only when we reply to confirm we can supply the goods and you accept the total price we quote.

We may decline an order, for example if a harvest has sold out, if we cannot deliver to your address, or if the price was listed incorrectly.

Prices

Prices shown on the order page are in pounds sterling and are for the jar only. Delivery is charged separately, with the cost depending on the size of your order and the total value of your basket. The delivery charge will be confirmed before you commit to buy. We may change prices at any time, but never after we have confirmed your order.

Delivery and collection

We offer delivery across the UK. Delivery charges depend on the size of your order and the total value of your basket, and will be confirmed before you commit to buy.

Local delivery is available in Blackburn and Leicester only. Collection is also available in Blackburn or Leicester by arrangement. We will confirm the collection location and details with you when we confirm your order.

Cancellation and returns

We do not accept returns or cancellations for unwanted honey because it is a food product. This does not affect your statutory rights if there is a problem with your order.

If something is wrong with your order

If your order arrives damaged, does not arrive, is not what you ordered or you have any other issue, please contact us through our Contact Us page as soon as possible. Include your order details and, for damaged products, a photograph of the jar and packaging where possible.

Allergens and food information

  • Ingredients: 100% pure British honey.
  • Available sizes: Small 113g, Medium 227g, Large 340g.
  • Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Honey naturally sets over time. Simply warm the jar gently in hot water to return it to a liquid state.
  • Country of origin: Produce of England.
  • Caution: Honey and hive products may contain trace amounts of pollen. Individuals with severe pollen allergies should exercise caution and consult a medical professional before consuming honey products.
  • Warning: Honey should not be given to infants under 12 months old.

Complaints

If you have a complaint, please use our Contact Us page. We will acknowledge your complaint within five working days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
